“Seen with statue modelled by one of the School’s old boys (Martin Wolverson) is Mr A D Legge, Art Master, and the Head Boy, Graham Fry. The statue was commissioned by the School and bought with money raised by the Parents’ Association.”

A small wooden shed used as a biology laboratory at Wednesbury Boys’ High School, St Paul’s Road, was destroyed by fire today.
Prompt action by firemen from Wednesbury and West Bromwich prevented the blaze from spreading.
